About the Chef – Tuesday Jordan

Tuesday Jordan discovered baking in a middle school home economics class with her first successful batch of cookies, coming from a Fanny Farmer cookbook.  Since then she has made many batches of cookies, pies and cupcakes but it wasn’t until 2007 that her passion for baking turned more serious.  Wanting to go further than just her kitchen, Tuesday enrolled in The Baking Certificate program at the Culinary Academy in Syosset, N.Y.  That was where she met her first mentor, Chef Mary Sydor. It was through her that Tuesday was exposed to the wide breadth of the baking profession, the New York Guild of Chefs (which later birth the Guild of Baking and Pastry Arts), and the World Pastry Forum. Since 2007, Tuesday continues her education with demonstration and hands-on classes at the World Pastry Forum as well as classes with chefs that she has met through the Forum.  Tuesday has discovered, to name a few; the importance of flavor, ingredients, consistency in product development and networking with those who are passionate about the industry and continues to establish relationships with people who desire “All Things Baking”.
